Customizing Your Widget
Make the discount widget match your store's look and feel perfectly.
Widget Display Styles
More Please offers two widget styles to fit different store aesthetics:
Boxes Style
Displays each tier as a visual box, making it easy for customers to see all options at once. Best for stores with clean, modern designs.
List Style
A more compact vertical list. Works well when space is limited or for stores with minimal aesthetics.
Color Customization
Match the widget to your brand colors. You can customize:
- Primary color: Used for highlights, selected states, and call-to-action elements
- Text color: Main text displayed in the widget
- Background color: Widget container background
- Border color: Outline of tier boxes or list items
- Accent color: Savings text and promotional highlights
How to Customize (Full Bowl)
- Open the More Please app in your Shopify admin
- Navigate to "Widget Settings"
- Choose your display style (Boxes or List)
- Use the color pickers to set your brand colors
- Preview changes in real-time
- Click "Save" to apply changes to your store
Note for Free Plan Users
The free "Oliver's Portion" plan includes basic widget styling. Upgrade to "Full Bowl" for complete color customization and advanced styling options.
Widget Placement
Control where the widget appears on your product pages using Shopify's theme customizer:
- Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize
- Navigate to a product page template
- Find the "More Please Widget" app block
- Drag to reposition it on the page
- Save your changes
Recommended placement
Place the widget near the "Add to Cart" button so customers see the savings before making a purchase decision.
Testing Your Widget
After customizing, test your widget on different devices:
- View on desktop, tablet, and mobile
- Check that colors are readable against your theme
- Verify the widget loads quickly
- Test adding items to cart to confirm discounts apply
